Onneli (Aava Merikanto) and Anneli (Lilja Lehto) live alone in their own house. One winter's night homeless, tiny Vaaksanheimojen family of the house into the yard arrives. They move to live Onnelin and Anneli doll home. However, adults have their own plans in case the family.
